Fundraising
As we are a relatively new
orthodox parish, we do not
yet have a church of our own
in which to hold our religious
services. At the time being we
are accomodated at different locations. That being said, we struggle to build our own church, and for that we must first purchase a land. To do that, we are holding a fundraising campain.
Our goal is: S120,000.00+

The Romanian Orthodox Church "Saint Callinicus of Cernica" needs people to be members of the Council
Parish and other committees, to teach at the Sunday school, to prepare food for the events organized in the purpose of raising funds, these being just some of the needs of a newly established parish.
In the United States, churches have the status of non-profit organizations and are funded only by parish members, not receiving any funds from the state or the Metropolia. That is why the members themselves have a duty to bear the operating expenses of the parish, and the additional income goes to the building fund and
